β FAQ
+How do I calculate pool volume?
Rectangle: L Γ W Γ avg depth Γ 7.48 = gallons. Circle: diameterΒ² Γ avg depth Γ 5.9. Most pools are 10,000-25,000 gallons.
+How often to run the pump?
Run long enough to turn over the entire volume at least once per day. 1-2 turnovers is ideal.
+How much chlorine do I need?
Maintain 1-3 ppm. Shock treatment: 10Γ the regular dose. Use calcium hypochlorite or liquid chlorine.
+What size pump do I need?
Pool volume Γ· turnover time (hours) = gallons per hour. Divide by 60 = GPM. Size pump to deliver that GPM at your total dynamic head.
